Araquém Alcântara photographed his first jaguar in January 1979, near Manacapuru, in Amazonas. Jaguaretê, the name Indigenous peoples give the jaguar, is the title of his 50th book, from 2017. Here are jaguars from the Pantanal, the Amazon, Goiás and Tocantins.
